Kindergarten Program

In the Near North board’s two year Kindergarten program, Junior Kindergarten children attend school all day, on alternate days, while Senior Kindergarten children attend school all day, every day.

To register for the Junior or Senior program a child must be four or five years of age respectively, on or before December 31^st of the year they attend.

The Early French Immersion program is available to Kindergarten students at:

• Sunset Park Public School

For the 2008-2009 school year, there are seven Near North schools that offer all day, every day Junior and Senior Kindergarten programs.

New for 2008-2009!

• E.W. Norman School offers Full Day-Every Day Learning for JK students. Every day JK students will receive half a day of Junior Kindergarten programming and half a day of YMCA Playing to Learn programming.
